One of the best games ever made

Dont rush to walkthroughs immediately or you will miss a lot of great fun dialogues and extras. This is one of the best games ever made, the dialogues, the setting, the music, the atmosphere... Anyones top five adventure games of all time should have this gem. All I have to say is...its worth the money ten times over. Go. Play. Now.

Fix bug on iOs 9...

Buggy at chain part of the game... Please fix...

Surprisingly Great

For months I ignored the great reviews of this game, not really sure Id love it worth its cost. The summary of the game seems purposefully vague and left me unsure about trying it. I regret not trying sooner and now Im so bummed that it doesnt continue for many more "years". Really fun engaging game. Initially the puzzles are difficult to solve but soon you begin to think in a way that makes the game easier. The story really pulls you in and the character development is impressive. I wish I bought it sooner and I really hope they release more games soon.

Great game, keeps crashing

This game is awesome and definitely worth the money, but Im halfway through the second year and the game refuses to let me progress without crashing in the exact same spot. Ive given it a few days and come back again to see if anything changed and it hasnt. Im really wrapped up in the storyline now and Id love to keep playing!

One of the best games ever made

In a way, this was the most expensive game I have ever played. I couldnt play it on my 3rd generation iPad (no Metal), so I got it from Steam for my 2011 MacBook Air. Unfortunately, it crashed constantly and every time that happened, I found myself going to the Apple website and longingly staring at the page for an iPad Air 2. And, by the end of Year 2, the frustration won out and I bought a new iPad Air 2. This is the only game Ive played on it so far. That being said, Ive been an ardent and loyal fan of Lucas Arts for nearly 30 years now. This game is by far one of their best, and Double Fine Productions served it faithfully when they remastered it. It has a superb, innovative storyline and more lengthy gameplay than any other game Ive played on an iPad before (each of the four years could easily be a game in its own right -- Im glad it wasnt split up into four paid apps like some games are.) The graphics are stunning, the dialogue is funny, and the puzzles are relatively complex. There a couple of bugs here and there, but no show stoppers. I highly recommend this game to any and every fan of point and click adventure games out there: you wont regret it!

Cant finish game, gets boring

Bug with the grinder prevents being able to finish fame. Slow movement and repetitive slow trips back and forth make game play tedious.

Bugs-game wont continue

I was really really enjoying this game, but have gotten to the third part and the game keeps totally freezing at the same point....really disappointed that I cant play full game (especially since I paid for the full game).

Wish there were more like this

I was so excited to see this on the App Store! Loved playing this game on my PC and playing it again on iPhone was just as good. Wish they would put some more of those 90s/00s adventure games on here (Monkey Island, Kings Quest, etc.).

Excellent

I was curious how Grim Fandango would translate to mobile devices, and all I can say is, perfectly. Like it was meant for it. Excellent plot, hours of challenging puzzles, and excellent art.

Impressive!

This game was an unexpected joy! The puzzles were super difficult and thank goodness there are places online to help navigate or I wouldnt have made it past year one. Despite the difficulty, I would suggest this game to anyone with access to a web browser and a bunch of time to kill. Definitely worth every penny. I wish there were more games such as this!

Amazing game that continued to set the standard

Double fine just make the best games...so much fun....just hope they add achievements for all their future releases like they did for day of the tentacle...getting achievements is half the fun!...ah well, the storyline, art direction and characters make this game a must buy...I then suggest buying their masterpiece broken age.

An Adventure Game you CANT MISS

If youre like me and grew up loving every game that Sierra studios produced from Kings Quest to Leisure Suit Larry... You will love this game. A closed puzzle adventure game similar to your classic Quest interfaces with an edgy, hilarious storyline that is a totally unique one off. Theres literally no game I can compare this campy lighthearted plot to. You are a travel agent. In the land of the dead. Its brilliant. Think Freddy Farkas. The puzzles were a little obtuse but nothing impossible given the nature of the game. No hints needed. Just patience. And this game has a LOT of gameplay. Hours. Guesstimate 10 hours? It was as many as Broken Age which is one of the best on iOS. Also, comparable in overall awesome. Grim was designed in the 90s so it may look a bit dated. Game play was seamless though which I understand was an issue with the original. This game will grab your attention, drive you nuts, get you laughing and make you nostalgic for the good old games. Totally worth the price. Please please please make more games Double Fine!!!!

Glitch

Cant finish the game because it freezes every time I use the crane. Please fix this smh.

Keep them Coming.

I love the story. I love the play. The beautiful setting. And I love the puzzles. Please continue with more Manny. Thank you.

Great game, but bug causing constant crash

This is a superbly made and often mind boggling point and click adventure from LucasArts. Really excited this game got remastered. I am running into a crash in Year 3. When I lower the crane onto the reversed conveyer belt. Or reverse the conveyor belt after the chain has already been lower the game hangs and crashes. I have tried doing this at three stages in Year 3 and now I have nothing left to solve to move on. Really frustrating. iOS 10.0.2 on iPhone 7 Plus.

How to fix chain glitch

Change graphics option from "remastered" to "original" and pull the switch. Voila!

Worth the time and money

In a day where most of the games on your phone are stupid gem match variants, this game takes the time to develop a story thats fun to follow and interact with. The puzzles were challenging, entertaining, and relevant to the story as well. I myself didnt encounter any of the bugs described in the other reviews. Overall it was well worth the time and money.

Bug

Really fun game but I have a problem at the Pearl. Whenever the short guy gets stuck on those red things and I start walking away the game freezes. And I cant do anything about it.

Loved it

Was great. Absolutely worth the money. Long enough and engaging enough to last me a few weeks of subway commutes haha.

Crash on Year Three

The game crashes on year three and yet with contacting the devs there is no fix for this, and it really triggers me. I want a refund
