Great game, but bug causing constant crash

This is a superbly made and often mind boggling point and click adventure from LucasArts. Really excited this game got remastered.

I am running into a crash in Year 3. When I lower the crane onto the reversed conveyer belt. Or reverse the conveyor belt after the chain has already been lower the game hangs and crashes. I have tried doing this at three stages in Year 3 and now I have nothing left to solve to move on. Really frustrating. iOS 10.0.2 on iPhone 7 Plus.
