Help!!

Ok, so I was enjoying the game, and hadnt gotten very far. But something really weird has happened. I exited out of the game, having saved everything. But, the next time I tried to enter the game, it showed the start screen, and then would just go all black. Ive tried countless things to get it to work again. I really dont want to delete and reinstall because I dont want to start over again. If anyone knows what to do please help! Thx
